ERIE, PA (WJET/WFXP) – JD Vance visited Erie on Wednesday as supporters gathered to hear from the Ohio senator at the Team Hardinger warehouse.
JET 24/FOX 66 reporter Tyler Gallagher went live at Team Hardinger on West 18th Street where the Republican vice president nominee spoke to a crowd this afternoon.
Hundreds gathered in one of the company’s garages and filled up every seat to represent the Republican Party with Trump signs and red hats.
Vance was preceeded by five speakers before taking the stage to a huge applause.
Erie voters highlight important political issues ahead of JD Vance rally
He used his platform to talk about the economy, the border crisis and the trucking business. He said the rally celebrated American trucking and American industry and highlighted the importance of truckers in Pennsylvania.
“He pointed out the economic issues that people are under today. Being here at Hardinger Trucking has pushed out the idea that trucking really needs help from the federal government. This economy is based on trucking,” said Tom Eddy, chairman of the Erie County Republican Committee.
Vance’s motorcade left shortly after his speech finished and is traveling to another rally Wednesday night in Wisconsin.
